Year 10 experience life in the world of work!

Our Year 10 students have spent this week away from school, taking part in a wide array of work experience activities across Oxfordshire and beyond!

Here are some of the highlights of those working locally:

Helen has spent the week working at Oxford University Museum of Natural History, dividing her time between the Education service and helping the museum's team of geologists label a series of ancient sponge samples!

James has enjoyed his time at Jack FM on Woodstock Road - if you've been listening closely this week you may even have heard his dulcet tones in an on-air trailer!

Morgan's five days at Oxford Magistrates Court have also gone very well. She spent the first part of the week learning about the day-to-day runnings of a busy magistrates court and was even able to sit in on a trial on Thursday and Friday and, plus visit Oxford Crown Court - at the invitation of a solicitor she met earlier in the week!

Ralph has been in his element at the Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford. He's pictured here with part of the museum's collection of shadow puppets, which has formed the basis for his project work throughout the week.

The feedback on all of our Year 10 students from their work experience employers has been hugely positive. We are very grateful to each of these companies and organisations, both large and small, for helping provide our students with such a positive experience this week.
