At the end of the Spring Term Year Nine went to The Globe Theatre in London to see a production of Romeo
and Juliet.
It was fast-paced, in modern dress and aimed at appealing to a
young audience. Most of the actors were young and there was plenty of music,
dance and audience interaction. We were fortunate to secure seats (most of the
audience had to stand) and despite the wind-chill factor, it was a great
experience.
The students enjoyed the afternoon, and having studied the play
were able to comment thoughtfully on various aspects of the production. I would
also like to congratulate them on their impeccable behaviour; it was a pleasure
to take them.
